Its official – Chelmsford Star Co-op Funeral Services offers the best Customer Service in Essex!
Chelmsford Star Co-ops Funeral Division has just won the Excellent Customer Services Category (Medium Sized Company) in the prestigious Essex Countryside Business Awards 2008.
A glittering gala evening was held on 9th May at the Cliffs Pavilion which saw over 750 people in attendance, representing the very best in Essex business.
The Excellent Customer Service category sponsored by Wilson James was un-indated with entries, which were narrowed down to 9 on the evening.
Prior to the event the Funeral Division were interviewed and grilled on all aspects of their business relating to customer service.
Craig Jackson – Funeral Operations Manager said;
‘Due to the nature of our business Customer Service is paramount and we always go way beyond what is expected as a matter of course. For example the judges seemed particularly impressed that we ran five free Bereavement and Aftercare Support Groups not only for our own customers but for anyone who is bereaved.’
The funeral department’s contingency at the Awards held its breath in anticipation as the competition was so high, and were ecstatic when they were called to the stage to receive the Award.
This Award is the icing on the cake in a long line of Awards that they have won since 2003. For not only have they won the same category in the Mid-Essex Business Awards for the last five years running but in 2004 they also won the Community category.
